I don’t like using flash on babies, so having our shoot where there is good natural light is super important. I always encourage clients to come to my home studio for our sessions, but for one reason or another, some clients prefer to have the shoots at their homes. When I showed up at baby Dylan’s home, I was concerned about the lack of natural light because there were a lot of tree in front of their house. Luckily though, the light improved in the other half of their house and we were able to get some great images.

Most of my clients want cute staged baby in baskets type of shots, so it was a nice change of pace doing this more lifestyle shoot by mommy’s request. It was definitely easier in a way since I didn’t have to keep bothering baby waking him up posing him. Baby was happier in mommy’s arms and we were able to finish the entire shoot in two hours.

I love it when clients introduce new lovely shooting locations to me. Sharon and her family did a lot of research and found this beautiful location! The light on the day of our shoot was magical. Sharon and her family loved the photos so much that they ended up keeping every final image! What a compliment to the photographer!

San Francisco City Hall Wedding | Tian Tian & Wei
Weddings just make everyone happy. This was my very first time being inside of San Francisco City Hall and photographing a City Hall wedding as a 2nd shooter! How cool is that? I just love how grand City Hall is. It’s really beautiful there. If you haven’t had a chance to see it, you should definitely make a trip there! Congratulations to Tian Tian and Wei again!
